#2018TBR

Hello bookworms! I present to you the books on my TBR for 2018 i.e the books I want to read before the end of this year. Some of the books listed here have been sitting on my unread shelf for over a year now while others are recent buys, either way, I’m on a mission to read these before the year ends, so wish me luck! 😉

1)Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
This book has been on wishlist ever since its release and I finally bought it as a part of my birthday haul. I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about the fierce characters, the world and the plot itself. Definitely looking forward to this one.

2)Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
Jane Eyre is doubtlessly one of the most loved classics. The story of a strong, independent woman in the Victorian era. That’s all I need to know to inhale this book in its entirety. 😁

3)A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
This book has received raving reviews since its release and that got me intrigued about it. Another reason I’m curious about this one is because of a book that I read a couple years ago, “The Curious Charms Of Arthur Pepper” by “Phaedra Patrick”. I was going through the Goodreads reviews of that one once I finished reading it and saw that a few reviewers compared the similar themes in that book with “A Man Called Ove”.

4)The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
“THUG” has been the talk of the bookish town for over a year now. It has been revered as one of the best YA books of all time owing to its representation and a very raw and real plot that is related to the “black lives matter” movement. I for one can not wait to read and love this book.

5)The Feast Of Roses by Indu Sundaresan
This book. Oh my god, this book. It is not only on my tbr for 2018 but also on my immediate tbr pile. I read it’s predecessor “The Twentieth Wife” last year and absolutely LOVED it!! I loved Sundaresan’s writing style, the way she fictionalized historical characters while keeping them authentic was amazing! Definitely excited about this one! 😍

6)Remnants Of A Separation by Aanchal Malhotra
This was the most loved book by an Indian author in the year of 2017. It focuses on material memories of India’s partition. It documents the stories of several families and their experiences of the partition, with the artifacts they carried across the border as the central theme. This book also contains several photographs of those people and their treasured items. I’m sure this will be an emotional read and I can’t wait for it.

7)Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami
I don’t really know much about this book other than how much I’ve been wanting to read it ever since I read a quote from it. I have never read a Murakami before but I’ve heard nothing but great things about him and about this book. Can’t wait to experience the magical realism.

8)The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Book Thief is one of the most widely loved books ever. Everyone who reads it ends up falling in love with it and can’t stop raving about it. Well, I want to too! ❤️

Well, that’s all for today folks! See you soon!
